CV writing tips for Bristol Early Years jobs in 2025

One of the most popular elements of our work at Class Recruitment is to provide candidates with CV writing tips, which will help them secure the best Bristol Early Years jobs in 2025.

There are some cases where we re-write a CV for a candidate, to include essential information that isn't present or to include more detail and information for a particular Bristol nursery setting that we know well.

We work closely with candidates in preparing their CVs and in their job search.

Some of our CV writing tips for Bristol Early Years jobs for 2025 include:

Every Early Years CV submitted by a practitioner includes all employment positions held since the age of 18. This should include jobs from all sectors.

Any gap over three months needs to be accounted for. Reasons may include maternity leave, studying, or travelling.

We also verify Early Years qualifications where applicable. This benefits both the practitioner and the nursery setting in Bristol.

It can be daunting for a practitioner if they are looking for nursery jobs online at platforms such as Indeed.

A generic job search can produce over 10 pages of potential jobs in the city.

A candidate could be spending hours looking through nursery job vacancies in Bristol that are not relevant to them or their requirements.

A generic CV will usually fail to impress for discerning nursery settings.

When preparing a CV, we ask candidates to consider other factors that are important to them, such as the ethos of a nursery setting in Bristol, which approach the candidates prefer, how far they are willing to travel, and what is important to them in their Early Years career.

We ask candidates to shortlist their favourite job vacancies and then attend interviews only for the nursery jobs across Bristol that they are interested in.

Our team of Early Years recruitment consultants in Clifton also help candidates with interview techniques and preparation, giving them sample questions, and asking them to prepare for how they will respond.

We place Early Years nursery staff across the following parts of Bristol:

Yate, Kingswood, Downend, Speedwell, Keynsham, Lyde Green, Emersons Green, Bradley Stoke, Filton, Horfield, Southmead, Clifton, Redland, Westbury, Stoke Bishop, City Centre, Southville, Bedminster, Knowle, Ashton Gate and Flax Bourton.

If you're looking for an Early Years job in Bristol, we urge you to read this first.
