Safeguarding tips for Bristol nursery workers

Following a recent blog post we wrote giving advice to Early Years settings in the city, we thought it would be helpful to provide safeguarding tips for Bristol nursery workers.

When it comes to working in Early Years settings across the city, all of our practitioners must provide referenceable experience to us. Without exception.

Safeguarding is our top priority as an Early Years recruitment agency, and all candidates applying through us will need to demonstrate a minimum of three months of referenced experience working with children.

This can include working as a volunteer in a nursery or working in a scouting or sporting background, such as a swimming coach.

It does not, however, include working as a private residence babysitter.

Some of the benefits we offer our candidates when it comes to gaining work in a Bristol-based Early Years setting, nursery or preschool include:

Five years’ work referencing
Full DBS check from our team
Training on behavioural management
Safeguarding advice and tips
Enhanced experience of working with kids

We often see applications from Health & Social Care course students in the Summer as they look to kickstart their careers in Early Years.

College students finishing their courses now who are looking to apply for their PGCE next year are also often looking to gain relevant experience now.

Talking to our team of experienced Early Years recruitment consultants can help candidates to gain valuable safeguarding tips as Bristol nursery workers.

Compliance rules for Early Years settings can be complex, and it is vital for Bristol nursery workers to understand legislation.
