Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity to step up in a leadership role and join a small nursery team in Filton as a Deputy Manager and SENCO? Do you love working with children, but also enjoy management and administration tasks? Then this may be the perfect role for you!
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Deputy Manager and SENCO, who is organised and a strong leader. You must be able to support staff to learn and develop and have experience of working as a SENCO, supporting children with additional needs.
The successful applicant will join a nursery which is homely and welcoming, providing childcare for up to 38 children. The nursery is part of a small chain of family run day nurseries and offers personalised mentoring to the right candidate to support training for this role.
This is a full-time role – 40 hours per week, year-round. Applicants must be available to work shifts of 8 hours between 7.30am and 6pm Monday to Friday. The nursery manager works 4 days a week so on one day a week you will be responsible for the nursery and supernumerary on that day - on other days you will combine working in ratio with the children with time out of ratio for the SENCO and management roles.
Applicants must have a good level of education and at least a L3 childcare qualification that is “full and relevant”. A SENCO qualification would be welcome but is not essential.
What we offer-
A salary of £32,000 and contributory pension.
Up to 28 days’ holiday entitlement including bank holidays (increasing to 31 after 2 years).
Sick pay after 3 years of service.
Flexible shift patterns.
Continuing professional development, training and support for all levels and qualifications.
